The Sign Language Interpreting Service was established in early 2007 and is funded and supported by the Citizens Information Board. It is managed by an independent board of management and is based in Tallaght, Dublin 24.
The Sign Language Interpreting Service acts as a direct point of contact between customers and interpreters and operates a booking service where organizations or members of the public can book interpreting services. The Service will also assess and highlight how new technology (such as videophone and webcam) can compliment existing methods of interpreting.
It is recommended customers give at least 2 weeks notice when contacting the interpreting booking service.
