Citizens Information Board Irish Language Scheme

The Citizens Information Board has an Irish Language Scheme in accordance with Section 11 of the Official Languages Act 2003. The primary objective of this Act is to ensure better availability and a higher standard of public services through Irish.

The Scheme contains many initiatives to increase service level provision through Irish. It has been approved by the Minister of Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs and commenced on 7th July 2008.

Scéim na Gaeilge an Bhoird um Fhaisnéis do Shaoránaigh

Tá Scéim na Gaeilge ag an mBord um Fhaisnéis do Shaoránaigh de réir Alt 11 d'Acht na dTeangacha Oifigiúla 2003. Is é príomhaidhm an Achta seo go mbeadh fáil níos fearr ar sheirbísí poiblí as Gaeilge agus go mbeadh caighdeán níos airde acu seo.

Tá mórán tioncsnaimh sa Scéim chun breis leibhéal seirbhíse trí Ghaeilge a soláthar. Tá sí ceadaithe ag an Aire Gnóthaí Pobail, Tuaithe agus Gaeltachta agus thosaigh sí an 7ú lá Iúil 2008.
